We all recognize the immense power of prayer; we see it at work every day. Prayer is an act of worship that glorifies God and reinforces our need for Him, and it is a vital part of the MBC community of faith.
We invite you to post a prayer request, which can be done anonymously if you prefer, in the space below.
Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:Â Â that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Mike & Carol D’Onofrio – Continue to pray for the Lord’s direction for daughter Iris to turn away from her destructive nature; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing upon Carol’s parents as they are in poor health and for them to accept Christ as their Savior; pray for the Lord’s provision of safe travel and protection as son Luke prepares to come to Florida (from South Dakota) to visit in May; pray for the Lord’s strength and healing upon Carol as she had a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday; pray for the Lord’s comfort and proper healing upon daughter Dawn Marie’s Yorkie, who suffered a broken leg and is wearing a splint; pray for the Lord’s strength upon Dawn Marie as she is completing her nursing school in May.
Jessica Williams – Continue to pray for the Lord’s direction and wisdom upon Jessica for unspoken needs.
Randy & Krista Uplinger – Continue to pray for the Lord’s strength and healing upon Randy as he recovers from knee surgery.
Roger Will – Pray for the Lord’s protection upon Roger’s oldest son is flying to China today for IT business; pray for the Lord’s hand of comfort upon Charlene (who sits next/near Roger on Sundays), as her husband passed away after suffering dementia.
Beth Baker – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Beth as she is battling several health issues.
John Capo – Praise the Lord as John’s neck is feeling much better as has more mobility after a 2nd round of treatments!
Estill & Phyllis Eversole – Continue to pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Estill & Phyllis as they are selling their home to move to Nokomis with daughter Renee and son-in-law Jack; pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Phyllis as a cancer growth was removed from her ear last week; pray for the Lord’s healing upon friend Beulah, who was taken to the hospital for an abscess in her colon, but was not given her diuretic medication and had congestive heart failure before having it restarted.
Art & Carolyn Anderson – Praise the Lord as Art recovered and was able to come back to church on Sunday!; pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort as he is getting his ‘Watchman’ installed for his heart (to manage blood clots) on Thursday. .
Ray Brier –Continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom, guidance and direction for Ray, former wife Pauline, daughter Amanda and grandson Jace to resolve and heal up family issues; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Pauline for her long-term health issues; praise the Lord as Ray is graduating Fight Club as successfully completing it with ‘no strikes’ this Saturday!; praise the Lord as the main contracting company in West Port wants Ray to work full time for them as an employee and not as a contract person.
Ashley Brantley – Praise the Lord all is well with her and her family!
Adrian Polk – Continue to pray for the Lord to continue to provide Adrian patience and direction as he awaits to hear from both the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and the DeSoto County/Arcadia Sheriff’s Office on law enforcement positions he has applied for.
Bruce Meents – Pray for the Lord’s protection upon Bruce and Judy as they are preparing to travel to Indiana later this week; praise the Lord as their niece had a baby boy!
Mike & Diane Carr –Pray for niece Chrissy who is having heart issues and is having surgery to repair it on 30 May; pray for nephew-in-law Randy (Chrissy’s husband) to receive Jesus as His savior; pray for the Lord’s comfort upon niece Debbie, whose son Carl was found dead in his home, and pray for the Lord to ease Debbie’s pain as she is blaming God for her loss, and have her come to Salvation in Him.
Lori Zimmerman – Praise the Lord as Lori is doing well!
JoAnn Villiard – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon son-in-law Paul, who is recovering from his reconstructive surgery on his left humorous bone and shoulder and will be in a rehab center for several weeks to undergo intensive therapy (3 hours a day); continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon JoAnn as she continues her own therapy sessions on her left shoulder injury.
Elmer & Shirley Yeager – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and strength upon our daughter-in-law Brittany and our unborn grandson Benjamin, who is expected to appear in May 2024; continue to pray for the Lord to provide His guidance and resolution for issues between our son Doug and his son/our grandson Hayden; continue to pray for the Lord’s salvation to come upon our grandchildren (Hayden, Braylen, and Addison); continue to pray for the Lord’s comfort upon sister-in-law Ruby, whose cancer has spread to her spine.
Bruce Vermette – Pray for the Lord’s healing and strength upon Bruce, who is scheduled to receive a pacemaker to help treat his ‘a-fib’.
Steve Urban – Pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Steve, who was taken to an ER with unrelenting severe back pain, pray for the Lord’s wisdom upon his doctors diagnosing and treating the problem, and pray for the Lord’s peace and strength upon wife Gail who is with him.
Anonymous – Continue to pray for the Lord’s direction and intervention for an adult grandson who has been sentenced to prison for 2-4 years as a result of domestic assault charges stemming from alcohol abuse, pray for the Lord to allow him to hear the Gospel message; pray for the Lord’s intervention and remove the evil that is upon the grandson’s wife, who is filing for divorce and with her mother is now raising their two young boys (4 and 8) as girls, having them wear dresses to school and painting their nails.

Beth Baker – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Beth as she is battling several medical issues, and is undergoing treatments for each to improve her conditions.
John Capo – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing upon John’s neck as he has a chronic issue (arthritis) in it that causes him some pain.
Estill & Phyllis Eversole – Continue to pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Estill & Phyllis as they are selling their home to move to Nokomis with daughter Renee and son-in-law Jack; pray for the Lord’s hand upon Phyllis, who had an angio-echo-cardio-gram on her heart and is awaiting the results; pray for the Lord’s healing upon nephew Chuckie, who is battling stage 1 liver cancer, and may he walk closer to Christ in his battle.
Art & Carolyn Anderson – Pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Art, who is home recovering from a bout of pneumonia and is still weakened by it.
Ray Brier –Continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom, guidance and direction for Ray, former wife Pauline, daughter Amanda and grandson Jace to resolve and heal up family issues; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Pauline for her long-term health issues; praise the Lord as Ray is becoming both a working leader and a Spiritual leader in his job as a construction laborer in the West Port development.

Max and Anna Breshears –Praise the Lord as Max and Anna safely returned home in Kansas City last week, after visiting with friends and their grandson Jackson in Chicago/Great Lakes!

Asking for prayers that my mother's Raynaud's disease gets better And that my dad, David can begin to see the reality of the Spiritual Warfare that me his son is often in. Throughout the years he's taken me the wrong way because he wasn't in a church where a pastor was explaining how Satan attacks the mind, goes after the strongest often the people he sees as the most threat. That and he was a coal miner and I've suffered from some very intricate and complex internal problems that's heck its hard for most doctors to understand let alone my dad and we've got in some pretty heated arguments over the years with harsh words said back and forth. But he's a good man deep down, a fighter, and he believes in Jesus as savior.

Randy & Krista Uplinger – Praise the Lord as the Uplingers have come to visit us and friends in Florida this week; praise the Lord for the Christian friendships they have made at the new home in Pennsylvania!
Ashley Brantley – Praise the Lord for the restoration of water services at the Homeless Coalition that was taxing to the Jesus-Loves-You Ministry’s facilities and workers (including Ashley!)
Adrian Polk – Pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Adrian as he is working the ‘night shift’ with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office now; pray for the Lord’s guidance and wisdom as Adrian has applied for a position with the DeSoto County/Arcadia Sheriff’s Office as a law enforcement officer.
Roger Will – Pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Bruce Vermette as he is being treated for a-fib, with a procedure scheduled for Thursday, and praise the Lord that it was found during a cataract exam.
Beth Baker – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Beth as she is battling several medical issues, and is undergoing treatments for each to improve her conditions.
John Capo – Praise the Lord as John led the MBC Easter Sunrise Service at Ollie’s Park and had a great turnout of ~75 people!; pray for the Lord’s healing upon John’s neck as he has a chronic issue (arthritis) in it that cause him some pain.
Estill & Phyllis Eversole – Continue to pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Estill & Phyllis as they are selling their home to move to Nokomis with daughter Renee and son-in-law Jack; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Estill’s brother Larry who is having health issues; praise the Lord as the Eversole’s son called them this week to talk!
Ray Brier –Continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom, guidance and direction for Ray, former wife Pauline, daughter Amanda and grandson Jace to resolve and heal up family issues; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Pauline for her long-term health issues; pray for the Lord’s healing upon Ray as Ray has been diagnosed with diabetes and will need to change his diet; pray for the Lord’s encouragement upon Pauline and Amanda to return to church after an incident with a member of the congregation.
