We all recognize the immense power of prayer; we see it at work every day. Prayer is an act of worship that glorifies God and reinforces our need for Him, and it is a vital part of the MBC community of faith.
We invite you to post a prayer request, which can be done anonymously if you prefer, in the space below.
Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:Â Â that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Monday Night Life! Prayer List - 1 April 2024:
Mike & Carol D’Onofrio – Continue to pray for the Lord’s direction for daughter Iris to turn away from her destructive nature; pray for the Lord’s healing upon Carol’s parents as they are in poor health; pray for the Lord’s provision of safe travel and protection as son Luke prepares to come to Florida (from South Dakota) to visit in May; praise daughter Dawn Marie is doing well.
Jessica Williams – Praise the Lord as Jessica now has a car and a new job with a motel in Port Charlotte!
Randy & Krista Uplinger – Praise the Lord as the Uplingers have come to visit us and friends in Florida this week; praise the Lord for the Christian friendships they have made at the new home in Pennsylvania!
Ashley Brantley – Praise the Lord for the restoration of water services at the Homeless Coalition that was taxing to the Jesus-Loves-You Ministry’s facilities and workers (including Ashley!)
Adrian Polk – Pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Adrian as he is working the ‘night shift’ with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office now; pray for the Lord’s guidance and wisdom as Adrian has applied for a position with the DeSoto County/Arcadia Sheriff’s Office as a law enforcement officer.
Roger Will – Pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Bruce Vermette as he is being treated for a-fib, with a procedure scheduled for Thursday, and praise the Lord that it was found during a cataract exam.
Beth Baker – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Beth as she is battling several medical issues, and is undergoing treatments for each to improve her conditions.
John Capo – Praise the Lord as John led the MBC Easter Sunrise Service at Ollie’s Park and had a great turnout of ~75 people!; pray for the Lord’s healing upon John’s neck as he has a chronic issue (arthritis) in it that cause him some pain.
Estill & Phyllis Eversole – Continue to pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Estill & Phyllis as they are selling their home to move to Nokomis with daughter Renee and son-in-law Jack; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Estill’s brother Larry who is having health issues; praise the Lord as the Eversole’s son called them this week to talk!
Ray Brier –Continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom, guidance and direction for Ray, former wife Pauline, daughter Amanda and grandson Jace to resolve and heal up family issues; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Pauline for her long-term health issues; pray for the Lord’s healing upon Ray as Ray has been diagnosed with diabetes and will need to change his diet; pray for the Lord’s encouragement upon Pauline and Amanda to return to church after an incident with a member of the congregation.
Bruce Meents – Praise the Lord that all is well with him and wife Judy, and that they had a great time of fellowship at our weenie roast on Good Friday and a good time at the Bridge Church with their daughter and her children on Easter!
Mike & Diane Carr –Pray for the Lord’s healing as they are almost recovered from a ‘cold’ picked up during their cruise.
Lori Zimmerman – Continue to pray for the Lord’s strength and wisdom upon Lori’s co-worker whose son Logan was arrested last month in Ohio; pray for the Lord’s protection to provide safe travel to Lori as she goes to Tampa (the VA hospital) to follow up on her recent surgery.
Max and Anna Breshears –Pray for the Lord’s protection and provision of safe travel for Max and Anna as they are leaving Florida today to head home to Kansas City, with several stops to visit friends. (We’ll see you next year!)
JoAnn Villiard – Pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon son-in-law Paul, who is recovering from his reconstructive surgery on his left humorous bone and shoulder and will be in a rehab center for several weeks to undergo intensive therapy (3 hours a day).
Elmer & Shirley Yeager – Continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and strength upon our daughter-in-law Brittany and our unborn grandson Benjamin, who is expected to appear in May 2024; continue to pray for the Lord to provide His guidance and resolution for issues between our son Doug and his son/our grandson Hayden; pray for the Lord’s hand to be upon us to provide Hayden Spiritual guidance as he is coming to visit us Tuesday-Thursday this week; continue to pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Shirley as she is having residual pain from the bladder/UTI infection she had (or still has).
Anonymous – Continue to pray for the Lord’s direction and intervention for an adult grandson who has been sentenced to prison for 2-4 years as a result of domestic assault charges stemming from alcohol abuse, pray for the Lord to allow him to hear the Gospel message; pray for the Lord’s intervention and remove the evil that is upon the grandson’s wife, who is filing for divorce and with her mother is now raising their two young boys (4 and 8) as girls, having them wear dresses to school and painting their nails.
The McGovern Family – Pray for the Lord’s healing and comfort upon Megan, who is suffering from liver failure, and pray for the Lord’s strength and encouragement upon parents Bob & Linda, who previously lost a daughter to similar issues several years ago and are discouraged and troubled.
‘In Pectoris’ – Pray for the Lord’s healing upon people wishing to be unnamed for recent health issues that have arose.
