The Truth: There Are Only Two Natural Genders God Created
Word-Of-The-Day: ‘So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.’ (Genesis 1:27); ‘For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.’ (1 Corinthians 11:12), ‘A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.’ (Deuteronomy 22:5); ‘Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.’ (1 Corinthians 6:9)
The current President’s administration has made it clear, in its first six months, that it is reversing much of the transgender policies put in place under the previous administration. There are edicts (Executive Orders) that clarify the United States will recognize the truth of only two genders, male and female. It is holding states accountable, via funding restrictions, in scholastic sports that only naturally-born girls can participate in girls’ sporting events. In the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics, only naturally-born women will be allowed to participate in the women events.
Some of the ‘records’ set by transgender women (men who ‘transitioned’, either by statement or actual surgery to ‘women’) have been reversed due to the pressure of the current administration upon colleges. The NCAA swimming titles set by University of Penn transgender swimmer Lia Thomas have been vacated and given to the women who finished behind him.
Although men wanting to be women, or women wanting to be men, is nothing new, up until the 21st century occurrences of such actions were considered to be odd, and often made out to be done for the wrong reasons, and usually done for comedic purposes. The most famous example was the character of Corporal Max Klinger in the television series M.A.S.H., who wanted out of the Army so bad he dressed as a woman to gain a psychological/medical discharge (though he was unsuccessful and later was promoted to Sergeant as the company clerk – and started wearing his uniform).
In these four verses (and there are some others) that God made Adam (the man) and Eve (the woman). There was no ‘Adam and Steve’ or ‘Madam and Eve’. God distinctively made two genders (not 57 for a Heinz variety), and these two genders are assigned at birth. God intentions match his desired outcome; men are to be men, women are to be women. Men are to be attracted to women, and women to men. Anything else is an aberration to God’s Word and not natural.
We men are to do manly things, work, provide for our families, lead our homes as Spiritual leaders, and control the TV remote. Women are to do womanly things; work to maintain the household, bare children, support your husbands, and help your husband find the TV remote when he forgets where he put it.
God fully intended that men and women should pair up, in monogamy and not a free-for-all. Men are to act and dress like men, women are to act and dress like women. God would never want a child, boy or girl, to be altered to become the opposite of their born gender.
If a boy desires to play with a Barbie, is it because he wants to be a girl, or is it curiosity, or is it that he really wants a GI Joe but doesn’t have one? (Suggestion: Buy your son or grandson a GI Joe action figure, to alleviate this challenge.) Is he wearing a dress because he wants to, or is that all Mommy or Daddy put out for him to wear? Sometimes, it’s not the first choice of the child but the whims of a parent that decides what a child will play or what endeavor they participate in.
A woman won a court case in Texas in 2019, over her ex-husband’s protests, to alter her then 7-year-old son’s gender identity; the child is now 13-years-old. Is there now a regret on the part of the woman, or is there a desire of the son to reverse the procedure, though the mutilation has already been done? The judge in Texas unfortunately said yes to permit the surgery, but the Judge who matters is God, and He says NO – and He still says NO today.
While it may be too late to reverse the outcome physically, may the mother discover God’s will before it is too late Spiritually, and may she seek forgiveness, from God, her son, and her ex-husband, for going through with this. May the boy be healed Spiritually, and if possible, may he receive the care he needs to reverse the procedure as much as possible, both physically and mentally.
What if a transgender, or a gay or lesbian desire to attend church? We as Christians are to show them love and respect, and ensure they hear the Truth. We are not to compromise the Truth, but to provide and hold fast the Truth while being compassionate to those who perhaps are hearing the Truth for the first time. Some may unfortunately be offended by the Gospel, but our prayer is always to have the Spirit work in them to turn away from their sinful nature – regardless of what their sinful nature entails – and accept the Truth of the Gospel and the Word of God.
For some, the physicality of a past decision may be irreversible, but Spiritually – as with all who receive the Saving Grace of Christ, all things can be forgiven and erased. This is what we who profess Faith in Christ, who are sinners saved by Grace, must understand and strive for, that all who still draw breath, regardless of their sin, can receive Salvation. So, we need to be non-judgmental and accepting while holding steadfast to God’s immutable principles.
All decisions should be made with God’s assistance through prayer and determination through the Word. Look past your feelings and biases, and look to whose words and actions most support and echo God’s Word. It is God’s Word who we must follow, as His Word is Truth, and that always supersedes our desires and feelings.
