The B-I-B-L-E
Almost everyone remembers the children’s chorus – “The B-I-B-L-E, Yes, that’s the Book for me, I stand alone, on the Word of God, the B-I-B-L-E.” We have been reading through the Bible book by book, chronologically or some other plan. This blog is about Bible Memorization. Whether you are a pre-schooler, student, adult or even a super senior citizen, make Bible Memorization a regular habit in your life. It is great if we started this very early in life but today is a good day to start again or for the first time. Let’s start simply: John 3:6 would be a great start. If you want to memorize a whole chapter, try Psalm 23. Another great start would be memorizing verses of God’s simple plan of salvation. Those verses are deeply rooted within me and you can start a conversation with someone telling the person God has a plan for his/her life and proceed from there. There are so many scriptures that would strengthen, encourage, challenge, comfort you. In times of great needs those verses will well up within you. Share with us your favorite memory verses.. If you need a plan to do this, let me know…. Here are two more verses to memorize from Psalm 119. Psalm 119:11 “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Palm 119:105 “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Next blog will be on the structure of the Bible. Fascinating study.
