Hold Fast To The Truth That Is In The Hope
Word-Of-The-Day: ‘(23) Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. (24) And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, (25) not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.’ (Hebrews 10:23-25)
Those in Congress (both the House and Senate) and in the media who are screaming the loudest about things like why Representative Matt Gaetz pushed for Representative Kevin McCarthy’s removal from the Speakership or (earlier this year) the ‘Carlson J6 Tapes’ are the ones who have invested in the lie, and not the Truth. Investing in the lie is to depend on a faulty foundation to hold up which one has built upon; we happen to see this every day. How can men be better women than women? The Truth is they cannot be; a man dressed as a woman or mutilated into woman form is still a man. What occurred on ‘J6’ occurred; editing tape or adding soundtracks doesn’t change the actual events of the truth, whether it shows the bad or the good.
How can we discern the Truth? There is only one solid foundation of Truth, Jesus. The ‘hope we profess’ is the Truth of Jesus. This can be done individually, one person plus God is a majority Spiritually, but it is a harder road to navigate. The more who seek the Truth collectively makes the travel less burdensome on each individual. It helps encourage one another to not rely on the lies of this world but the promise of the Truth we have in Jesus, and it provides proof to those who may be discouraged by the lies to come follow Jesus for the Truth.
There are strength in numbers, and if we rally around Truth together, speak out on behalf of what is true, denounce together what is false, we can influence and perhaps pull those who earnestly are seeking Truth to come join us – the body of believers that make up the Church of Christ.
