Be Accountable Now Or Be Held Accountable Later

Word-Of-The-Day: ‘So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.’ (Romans 14:12); ‘<Jesus said,> ‘But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.’ (Matthew 12:36); ‘And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.’ (Revelation 20:12)

There are more voices calling out for revelations, now held by our government, to be aired out. I remember that there was to be a release of the Epstein files, the JFK and RFK assassinations, the two attempted assassinations on Trump, and many others – so many that I can’t remember all the revelations that were supposed to be revealed. The revealing of such things was to bring light and transparency to what seems to be purposely hidden from the American people.

If these things are revealed, then there can be accountability. Though my examples are all negative actions, there are also positive actions that the American people aren’t made aware of on the account of ‘national security’. Nevertheless, there is also accountability in those actions as well. We can’t hold people accountable for their actions, and either praise them or prosecute them, if we don’t know what their actions were. It leaves us only to guess, and that isn’t good as we can be wrong in our assumptions or accusations.

While it may seem that we live in a world where people are no longer held accountable, and act accordingly to this false belief; we find there are numerous examples of God, the Great Accountant, is keeping the ‘books’ up to date of everyone’s actions.  What we do, what we say, what we think – God knows it all.

Now the US government may record all your texts, calls and web activity (and credit card purchases, travel habits thanks to traffic cameras, and even more ‘Big Brother’ things), God accounts for every hair on your head, every breath you will take, every beat of your heart – and knows your texts, calls, etc. before you even make them. God knows you better than you know yourself!

A person without Christ in their lives either doesn’t believe or doesn’t care to believe God has such surveillance over them.  Thus, they act with impunity as if they will get away with sinful actions.  There are some who indeed ‘get away with murder’, in terms of their mortal lives.  Even us Christians sometimes believe we can get away with small breaches or guilty pleasures even when we are alone and by ourselves.

As Jesus in Matthew 12 and Paul in Romans 14 says, we may not be held accountable here on Earth but we will be held accountable on our Day Of Judgement.  Each person will have their own Day of Judgement; we as true Christians (Christians who earnestly believe and have Faith in Christ) will have our ‘day in court’ with Jesus to weigh our service and obedience of His will (2 Corinthians 5:10).

The Day of Judgement is where Jesus will reward us (and I’m certain will let us know what we didn’t do, or what we did that we weren’t supposed to) based on our Faithfulness – and we will give these rewards back to Him!  Whether these rewards are many or few, no matter the actions done, Jesus forgives us in totality, and the judgement will be Life in Eternity with our Lord in the (new) Heaven.

The non-believers (including those who will identify as ‘CINOs’ or Christians in Name Only) will face the White Throne of Judgement in Revelation 20, where as it is stated, will be shown all that they’ve done. I’m certain it will have both the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ that was done – and then the determining factor will solely be that their name is not found in the Book of Life, thus committing the one unpardonable sin of denying Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  For these people, there is no forgiveness, only sadness and regret, as the judgement will be Life in Eternity without God in Hell.

The accounting books are open and for us the ledger is still being written out.  Even with Salvation, our deeds for what we do (or don’t do) for the cause of Christ are being recorded.  Jesus gave us our gifts to go perform the Great Commission, and we need to go and continue to perform, for our own records and for those who need to reach out to Jesus so that they can have the Book of Life have an entry with their name in it!
