Women’s Ministry

Our Scripture for 2025:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in Him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 (NKJV) Our word for the year is ABIDE!

Murdock Baptist Church Women’s Ministry Three-fold Vision

1. Up-reach But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:18) Equipping and supporting women to strengthen their relationship with God.
2. In-reach Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:10, 12-13) Develop a welcoming environment where every woman at MBC feels included, invited and welcomed – especially those new to Murdock and anyone visiting our church.
3. Out-reach He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. (Mark 16:15) Include a mission/outreach element in everything we do.

A Special Note to you: Our Women’s Ministry Leadership Team is working hard to bring you opportunities to gather, worship, grow and enjoy our faith journey together. 2025 Calendar for Women’s Ministry Events:

Tuesday Evenings/Wednesday Mornings beginning February 18/19   “Covenant” Precepts Bible Study, 12 weeks led by Amy Tipton. Rooms106-107

 Thursday Evening, April 3^rd  6:00 pm– “The Feast” a virtual event with Kristi McClelland, including worship and teaching, as we gather together for fellowship in Building B

 Saturday, May 17^th, 11:30-1:30 Spring Garden Party

  Summer Breeze – The 2^nd and 4^th Tuesday evenings/Wednesday mornings

• May 27/28 – “Worship” Come sing the old choruses from years ago as we explore how we worship past and present.! Led by Barb Miller
  • June 10/11 – TBD
• • June 25/26 (Note the Wednesday/Thursday times) – Tina Melik and Nancy Cowan will lead us in a special time of mind, body and spirit worship through dance, drumming fitness and worship music.
• • July 8/9 – “Unsung Heroine of the Bible” Annie North gives us insight into Dorcas, with a special craft for Operation Christmas shoeboxes.
• • July 22-23 Robin Sloat will lead us in making a Christmas craft
• • August 12/13 – Betty Teramo will help us create an art project
  • August 26/27. – Martha Hanneman – Chocolate flights – come learn all about the different types of chocolate from a past chocolate shop owner.

September 9/10 “Heaven” Bible Study, by author Jennifer Rothschild,  A 7-week study led by Barb Miller.

November 15^th – “Cultivating Gratitude Everyday”, A Thanksgiving mini-retreat.

December 4^th – “Prepare Him Room” An Advent Event, featuring Bible Study leader Kelly Minter.
