Stochastic Warfare – The Battle Between The Rhetoric Of Lies & The Biblical Truth
Word-Of-The-Day: ‘(43) <Jesus said to the Jews,>”Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. (44) You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (45) Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!”‘ (John 8:43-45)
In our society today, many of us who have Faith in Christ see the absurdities that have creeped into the common vernacular, the academic circles, and in the reporting of ‘facts’ in the mainstream media news. We catch the television mouthpieces and newspaper journalists repeating the same phrases and mantras over and over at the same time, ‘free speech is dangerous for democracy’, ‘that line of commentary is racist’, ‘owning a home is old white/colonial privilege’, ‘this <adverse action> is a right’. The repeated mantras and phrases made often are against long-standing legal and moral standards – especially morals based upon Godly, Biblical precepts.
It is stochastic warfare, where rhetoric is used repeatedly and increased over time to make wrong, illogical and evil concepts acceptable to the general populace, and good, logical and Godly concepts seen as wrong, dull, and unenlightened. Stochastic warfare against our Godly morals has been happening for quite some time, and it is nothing new. Stochastic warfare’s goal is to make evil appear as normal, accepted and proper, and unfortunately for many Americans (and in other nations), it has worked. Those engaged in pedophilia are now called Minor-Attracted Persons (MAPs), Illegal immigrants are ‘undocumented migrants’, for example.
In the 1960s, it started with removing the Bible and prayers from schools; the 1970s brought removing the shame of sex outside of marriage and abortion by calling it ‘women’s rights’. From there, the stigma of homosexuality ended with ‘gay rights’ and ‘It’s OK to be gay’. It then grew to ‘the right for gays to marry’ and quickly jumped to ‘multi-gender fluidity’ and the right for parents to determine their child’s birth gender was ‘incorrect’, to be changed by medical procedure and hormonal therapy.
Unfortunately, many have bought into the lies and have accepted them as ‘fact’. They do not hear the Truth of the Bible and of the Gospel. In John 8, Jesus Himself proclaims this to the Jews in the Temple Court; the general populace does not hear or understand the Truth or what is right as they belong to ‘their father, the devil (Satan)’. The lies are accepted as ‘truth’ because Satan controls the people of world through sin. He has done so since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden as noted in Genesis 3.
Jesus, in John 8:43-45, makes it clear to the Jews in the time of His earthly ministry and to us who follow Him today that Satan’s goal is to prevent people from hearing the Truth, to keep them enslaved by the bonds of sin. Even for the Faithful Christian, we succumb to the temptations of sin, sometimes in the defense of Christ and His Gospel, through gossip, threats, or exaggeration. The Crusades are a great example of this; the goal of converting the Islamic people who took over Israel in the Middle Ages to Christianity is on the surface a good ‘sound bite’, but ‘convert or be killed’ is wrong as coercion to convert is not of free will, which Jesus desires people to do.
There is a counter to stochastic warfare, and that is to ‘fight fire with fire’, or in our case fight the repeated lies by repeating the Truth that repudiate the lies. Hold politicians and media members alike for their lies by simply stating, ‘that is a lie, the Truth is…’ when they speak falsely by letting them know in their ‘comments’ section and for the politician through your vote. Speak the Truth; abortion is not a right, but murder. Sex outside of marriage is immoral and causes great harm to the woman. There are only two genders and they are held lifelong after birth. Homosexuality is abhorrent to God as is pedophilia. These Truths, despite the attempts of the immoral, cannot be disputed or ‘scientifically debunked’.
When you counter the lies, do it respectfully and Righteously. It is important to respectfully ‘agree to disagree’, and at times, ‘dust your shoes off and move on’. We see that those who believe in the lies act illogically and sometimes unfortunately violently and illicitly, so be aware and prepared to leave or if necessary, defend yourself. Speaking the Truth doesn’t mean instant acceptance, especially to those who have heard nothing but lies for a long time. Sometimes, silence speaks louder than words.
We who are Believers and Followers of Christ, who have been born again, know the Truth and should desire to learn more of God’s Word and His Knowledge. His Church, the combined Fellowship of His Believers, is the ‘armed’ opposition to the falsehoods of Satan – armed with the Armor of God and the Truth of His Word. Don’t fear, be courageous, and stand steadfast in Faith and in Truth!
