God Is The Ultimate Change Agent!
Word-Of-The-Day: ‘(1) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (2) Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, (3) though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.’ (Psalm 46:1-3)
We wake up today with a new Presidential administration that has already been working in its first 24 hours to make changes to the workings of the Federal Government. It is hoped these changes are to remove the chronic stigma of the Federal Government working against the people of the United States and removing much of the burdens it laid down for the secular causes of ‘DEI’, ‘Wokeism’, and ‘Climate Change’. Some moves were symbolic (changing the name of the ‘Gulf of Mexico’ to the ‘Gulf of America’) to shake up the statis quo and instill the sense of ‘America First’ into the mindset of the American citizenry.
For the majority of Americans, based on the numbers who voted, these moves to immediately change the course of the nation are much welcomed. For those in the minority, these changes may be a bit scary and even terrifying. On both sides, however, change – even welcomed change – may be approached with trepidation and fear. All the changes in the making will be disruptive, hopefully to improve our lot overall, but with a cautious eye on each of them until their value is proven. These changes, welcomed or not, should never be what we place our ultimate Hope in, however. It is acceptable to hope a President will make Righteous decisions and appropriate changes for the betterment of all, but our ultimate Hope should be in the one who created it all in the first place.
We know God created the Heavens and the Earth at the very beginning of Existence (God existing prior to Existence). God became what is now known in the corporate world as a Change Agent or a Disruptor, someone who shakes up an organization to move it forward. People for the most part do not like change or chaos, but often we must change to move forward or to accomplish something. Sometimes situations can change our lives temporarily or permanently that takes us out of our ‘comfort’ zones, which almost always ends up as good and for our benefit.
We grow when we are challenged and we learn something about ourselves in how we respond. I never saw the strength my mother had until after my dad passed; with me thinking she was going die soon after he did, she instead told me she would overcome her grief and move on to live – and she did for another 21 years.
Chaos can bring these challenges into our lives, and because of our negative attitudes toward change we resist it and we look at it as we will fail if we either are overwhelmed by it or don’t embrace it. However, we must remember, God is the initial and ultimate Change Agent. Back in Genesis 1:1, there was literally nothing going on, and God disrupted the normal by creating the Heavens and the Earth. Likewise, He knows how to handle chaos and change as He essentially invented them. When we run into challenges God already has a solution drawn out.
Life with God is already chaotic with the presence of sin, even more chaotic is a world where man is allowed to run rampant in sinful actions with secular concepts that completely counter the Word and Will of God. Nothing that occurs, good or bad, Righteous or perverse, takes God by surprise. God knew all these things would happen, and He knows the escape plan out of these issues and what the end results will be.
Know that whether the chaos is natural or man-made, God is here to help us get through these issues. We may not get through unscathed physically, but spiritually we are protected. The chaos can be light (family comes to visit) or heavy (a new president) but God will lead us, provide for us, and give us the wherewithal to get through these times!
Amen
