Don’t Be Foolish, Vote With Wisdom
Word-Of-The-Day: ‘(33) Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning and even among fools she lets herself be known. (34) Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.’ (Proverbs 14:33-34)
Yesterday was ‘Super Tuesday’, where a plethora of states held their primary elections for the people to select their parties’ candidates for the general elections this November. Florida holds their primary in a couple weeks, but it appears the candidates are a foregone conclusion – but go vote anyway!
In the vein of voting, not on whether one should vote or not (you should), but how one should vote is founded in two things; wisdom (or lack thereof) and Righteousness (or lack thereof). Wisdom only comes from God per Daniel (Daniel 2:20), so when we are in tune with God via the Holy Spirit, it should be His discernment that is leading us to make the choice that the Lord is leading us toward. We see what is happening when God’s wisdom is not followed, with late-term/post-birth abortion, child transgenderism, and the defunding of police these are not wise decisions as they are not of God and His worldview but of the secular, evil worldview. Only a fool would argue these are ‘good’ for consideration when voting.
Proverbs 14:34 is a great follow-up to verse 33. Tapping in and using God’s wisdom to govern a nation provides the blessings of God upon that nation. Governing by God’s wisdom provides for lesser crime, more stability and unity, and contentment; the morality of the nation is more in line with God and His Truth rather than the ‘feelings’ of many which produces lies and good intentions (good intentions often lead to bad results). Many times these feelings are used to cover up previous sins, thus compounds them. An immoral people (holding a code of morality that is not of or from God) adds unrighteous rules to cover up sins. The only resolution to stop this cycle of compounding immorality is to return to the foundation of God’s Truth, His wisdom.
Vote with God’s Wisdom, and vote for His Righteousness – the American way should always be God’s way!
